Stefan Beckman designed the set for the Coach Fall / Winter 2019 runway show! The show took place in Downtown Manhattan in a former New York Stock Exchange building right across the street from Trinity Church. Designer Stuart Vevers said the psychedelic aesthetic of the 1970s and artist Kaffe Fassett's work inspired his collection; which included patterned lightweight chiffon fabrics layered with fleece-lined leather jackets and paired with laced boots. The set reflected this inspiration by employing two large metallic sculptures, rotating on opposite ends of the room. The models wove around the room, criss-crossing in perfect synchronicity. The live feed was a two-channel video with various camera angles. Sora Choi closed the show, the overhead lights dimmed, and fluttering white lights spun around the room while all the models returned for their final walk to appear as if they were swimming in a stream.
