Event Designer Stefan Beckman and Creative Event Planner Mark Seed joined the team behind Elon Musk's grand opening for his new Gigafactory in Austin, TX. Called the "Cyber Rodeo," this massive event debuted Tesla's new international headquarters. Set along the Colorado River with over 10 million square feet of factory floor (5 city blocks), our designers used every inch to make an enormous event for the city of Austin. In the course of a month, our designers planned and brought Tesla's vision of a manufacturing haven to life.

The "rodeo" combined classic Texas with the cutting edge of technology. Outside the factory there was petting zoo in a geodome, massive tesla coils, and custom chrome sculptures of a cowboy hat and boot. Additionally, a carnival, mechanical bull, and foodtrucks were brought for the crowd to enjoy. Inside the inaugural event there were light shows, live music, free tattoos, and much more. Stefan created artistic installations of the Tesla vehicles, creating "wow" moments all over the event. Fireworks, a live performance from Gary Clark Jr. and 1,000 drones also entertained crowds. The event culminated in Elon Musk debuting future Tesla products and asserting their vision for the future of Giga Texas. The light shows, installations, and festival made guests feel like space cowboys exploring a new frontier of technology. Click here to watch the event!
