Stacy's Picks: Ganso
Share |
0commentsGanso, a ramen restaurant recommended by my good friend Nancy Iacoi, is the newest place that I'm digging. Ganso is a hidden gem, located in downtown Brooklyn, neighboring an iHOP and a Sleepy’s…..seriously! But never mind the neighbors - this place is good, really good. Dishes like the Buta Kimchi Buns with braised pork belly, jalapeno, kimchi, and spicy mayo; the Short Rib Buns with braised short rib, karashi mustard, Hatcho miso sauce, and Asian greens; and the Ganso Salad with avocado, leafy greens, cucumber, aromatic herbs, and miso vinaigrette are all totally delicious. The Short Rib Ramen - soy sauce-beef broth, slow-braised short rib, “onsen” egg, and seasonal greens is seriously some of the best I’ve had. And I will definitely be back with my kids to try out the panko crusted chicken fingers. Simply put, Ganso is fun and casual with great food and even better prices.
