For the Spring/Summer 2011 season, hairstylist Odile Gilbert created looks for 8 shows including: Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Z Spoke for Zac Posen, Suno, Erin Fetherston, Rodarte,
3.1 Phillip Lim, and L'Wren Scott.
Odile really specializes in complimenting a designer's collection with a unique, yet classic, hairstyle which you can see here in all 8 shows from the season.
For the Prabal Gurung show, Odile created an updated chignon with a sleek deep side-part and hair pulled back in a pony and pinned down at the top of the neck with a simple silver barrette.
is the young and trendy new collection by top designer Zac Posen. Odile created one of three hairstyles on the models: a top knot, french twist, or a ponytail. All with tight curls added for a modern twist (inspired by Zac Posen's famous do).
For the ultra fun Suno
collection, the hair was pulled back in a messy up-do with a loose bouffant on top for a very modern and easy look.
Last season, designer Erin Fetherston had Odile emulate her famous straight-cut bangs, but this season it was all about the sleek tropical look. The models had long straight hair and a side part. Gel was applied to sweep the hair away from the face to achieve a look of freshness.
Like last season, AVEDA and Rodarte
created barrettes for the look. Odile blow-dried the model's hair straight and gave it an easy whimsical look with volume. She parted the hair with a deep side-part and clipped the barrette just above the ear, keeping the hair loose to give volume and an appearance of side bangs.
For 3.1 Phillip Lim
's look, Odile created a messy chignon with a curled twist. With a side part, messy chignon in the back, hair twisted around the side, and the appearance of a side bang, this look was sweet and sexy at the same time.
L'Wren Scott's collection is always classic and beautiful, so Odile needed to create something on the same level. Odile gave the girls loose, romantic waves with eye shadow painted in the part. The eyes and part were matched, making the look both classic and innovative at the same time.
