Just when we think that Odile Gilbert's creativity and amazing work can not be topped, she always leaves us in awe!

For anyone who has followed Odile Gilbert's career, she has collaborated on some extremely major projects. We adore her book, "Odile Gilbert: Her Style." Her headpiece designs can be viewed through August at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco in the legendary exhibit, "The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to Catwalk." And just this past week, she debuted some epic wigs and hair looks at what might be the most glamorous opera ever.

Laura and Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte (Odile collaborates with regularly on their runway shows) invited Odile to become a part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic's presentation of the "Don Giovanni" opera this month. Rodarte created the insane costumes. James Kaliardos handled the makeup and Frank Gehry dreamt up the sets.

Odile spent months prepared the wig designs --- sending sketches back and forth from Paris to Los Angeles and then spending hours of arduous labor hand-dying the hair for the wigs. Odile said that her hands where purple for over a week!

The result was pure fashion magic. And now Odile can add one more amazing experience to her list of epic fashion moments...
