Noe DeWitt photographed Gerald DeCock's legendary bohemian studio at the Chelsea Hotel. The artist/hairdresser lent Noe the keys to the apartment so he could spend an entire day photographing the space, which has recently been covered in foil tiles, bringing the studio to a whole new level of psychedelic. "Gerald made a playlist of 60s and 70s music for me to listen to, so I put it on and stayed in his apartment the entire day, watching the light pass through the windows." What makes Noe's photographs of Gerald's space unique is that he captures the effects of the Chelsea Hotel's on-going renovations. Now boarded-up, there was once a ladder in the kitchen leading to the sliding windows of the outdoor roof deck where Gerald would spend much of his time painting.

Noe DeWitt is part of Exposure NY's photography division. Exposure NY is a photography agency / stylist agency in New York City.
