Jonathon Beck created four sets for Netflix's new comedy festival, Netflix is a Joke, which commemorates the biggest comedic names in the industry while shining the spotlight on some new rising stars. Beck had the opportunity to create the sets for Amy Schumer, Jane Fonda + Lily Tomlin, and Bill Burr. Filmed back to back over four consecutive days, Netflix wanted each special to have its own unique look. With little time to change anything overnight, the master set was "conceived like an onion," that was installed at the same time,  with "layers peeled off like an onion overnight," says Beck, revealing a different set each day. The entire festival ran from April 28 through May 8 in Los Angeles and is now streaming on Netflix.
