George Cortina and Honey for Playgirl
George Cortina styled Chloe Sevigny for Playgirl's relaunch! Originally founded in 1973, the iconic magazine relaunched in print yesterday with a striking cover image photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Different from the magazine's usual male subjects, a pregnant Chloe Sevigny stands contrapposto on a soft blanketed ground and in front of a mint green backdrop. Honey painted Sevigny's nails in fresh petal pink.
WWD covered the relaunch on its website stating, "Unlike the original, which was criticized for the lack of diversity in its pages, the magazine’s approach is 'gender- and trans-inclusive, intergenerational and strives to reflect the diverse, dynamic array of women’s experiences.' 'I’m really proud of how diverse our body types are in the issue — whether it’s in the centerfold or in fashion,' said [Jack] Lindley Kuhns [publisher of Playgirl]."
