Arianne Phillips and Piergiorgio del Moro for Prada

As part of Prada's ongoing Iconoclasts project, three costume designers were asked to reimagine Prada stores across the globe, including London, Paris and New York. Arianne was given total freedom to take over the Prada store on Bond Street in London!

“[Prada’s] brief to me was ‘freedom, no rules’ and the thing about being a costume designer is telling stories and creating characters at the center of a film, so I felt like it was kind of a no-brainer that I had to work how I would on a film, so I decided to make one,” Arianne told WWD“Fashion, like film, is about dreaming and telling stories so this seemed like a natural conversation for me to have with the very inspiring and beautiful Spring/Summer 2015 collection.”

For her leg of the journey, Arianne wrote and directed "Passage", an ethereal and otherworldy a short film that was both dreamy and fashionable as an interpretation of Prada’s S/S15 collection. In what looks like a post-apocalyptic, desert landscape, Leah Goode and Angela Longton, who were cast by Piergiorgio del Moro, explore the wasteland filled with dust, billowing lilac smoke and a few bit of Prada. “It’s kind of nonlinear, very surreal, like a dream. They could be aliens, they could be sisters, they could be the same person twice, and you can see they are mirror images,” she said. AND, fun fact: the special edition bags (close-up photos) were designed by Arianne!

Exposure NY Owner, Stacy Fischer, flew to London to check out the space that Arianne created! Check out photos of the store and stay tuned for the film and behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot!

Arianne Phillips and Piergiorgio del Moro are part of Exposure NY's styling division. Exposure NY is photography agency / stylist agency in New York City.
