STACY'S PICKS: Mission Chinese Food, San Francisco

    Share |

Ok, I have to share one of my latest obsessions with you:  Mission Chinese Food in San Francisco.  On a recent trip to Lake Tahoe (and I'll have plenty more recommendations there in the next few days), I scheduled my family's flight out of San Francisco just for the opportunity to stop and have dinner there.

Mission Chinese Food is a pop-up restaurant housed inside another restaurant, a hole in the wall called Lung Shan Restaurant at 2234 Mission Street.  The food is teriffic and the ingredients are top-notch.

The Ma Po Tofu is insanely good, as is the broccoli beef cheek.  My seven- and four-year-old daughters loved the salt cod fried rice, and the Mongolian long beans were another crowd pleaser.  My personal favorite dish, however, is the pork belly.

If you find yourself in San Francisco's Mission District, definitely check it out!
